A Marine Tourism Workshop was held in Marmaris on Monday, April 29, 2024 by IMEAK Chamber of Shipping in order to further develop the marine tourism sector.

At the meeting attended by Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, Marmaris District Governor Nurullah Kaya, Marmaris Mayor Acar Ünlü and many guests, the problems and solution suggestions of marine tourism were discussed.

Tamer Kıran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, made the opening speech of the meeting and said that they organized this workshop in order to increase the contribution of the marine tourism sector, whose importance is increasing day by day in Türkiye, to the general tourism revenues and the country’s economy, and to contribute to the elimination of some problems that hinder the sector. He expressed his hope that the meeting would be successful and productive.
