The European Boat Association (EBA) General Assembly was held in Bodrum between October 4th and 6th and was hosted by the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping. The İMEAK Chamber of Shipping Board Chairman, Mr. Tamer Kıran, and his accompanying delegation participated, as did the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping Bodrum Branch Chairman Orhan Dinç.
As the ambassador of the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping to the European Shipping Association (EBA), Mrs. Itir Ipekel Tsiropoulos participated in the meeting. She accompanied the chamber’s president to all the events.
Following the general assembly, which lasted two days and included four sessions, EBA delegates and İMEAK Chamber of Shipping President Mr. Tamer Kıran and his delegation came together at the event on the evening of October 5. EBA President Mr. Jan Jansson thanked President Mr. Tamer Kıran for the organization and presented him with the European Boat Association pennant.
In his speech about the organization, the President of the IMEAK Bodrum Chamber of Shipping, Mr. Orhan Dinç, said: “It is a pride for us to be a member of such an organization as the Chamber that represents our country. Each meeting is held in a different member’s country. Our honorable President, Mr. Tamer KIRAN, proposed to host it in Turkey and said that this would suit Bodrum, and he is right; Bodrum is at a very important point for our country, where shipping, Blue Voyage, and shipbuilding start tasks. All representatives are valuable people, experts in shipping matters in Europe. Therefore, it is very important for us that they visit our country and see our shipyards, marinas, and cultural values. We were very pleased with the positive views and comments we received from the delegates.
