Greece introduces fast-track visa for Turkish tourists to 10 Greek islands
The new fast-track visa program introduced by Greece allows Turkish citizens to visit select Greek islands for up to seven days at a time. This initiative aims to boost tourism and strengthen the ties between the two neighboring countries.
Travelers from Turkey will be able to visit 10 Greek islands with a fast-track temporary visa. The on-the-spot, seven-day visa will facilitate access to islands including Kalymnos, Limnos, Leros, Kos, Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Rhodes, Symi, and Kastelorizo, all near the Turkish coast and historically popular with Turkish visitors despite tense Greek-Turkish relations.
Starting from March 30, 2024 and Turkish citizens can enter from 5 Greek Islands Rhodes, Kos, Chios, Samos and Lesvos. Later this year (May 2024) will open the following islands Limnos, Kalymnos, Leros, Symi and Kastelorizo.
Please note that expedited visas obtained for the islands will only be valid for the specified islands and cannot be used for entry into other regions of Greece and is not allowed to move to another island or inland for the entire period of your stay.
